Introduction
Welcome to our website.
The purpose of this site will be to share information related to the HSTP process in the southern 39 counties of Illinois (specifically, IDOT Substate Regions 9, 10, and 11).
Rather than a traditional website, we chose to put up a blog for two reasons:
In the future, we will post meeting announcements, minutes, presentation materials, transportation-related articles and other useful information.
Within each post, you can click on the "post a comment" option at the bottom to comment on that item. You do not need to have a Google ID to post a comment, if you select the "Name/URL" option you can type in your name (or a user name you chose) and post a comment that way. You can also post comments anonomously.

- It is easy to set up and maintain.
- the blog format allows us to add a number of "interactive" features that would be difficult/time consuming to add to a normal website, such as user comments, RSS syndication, and online surveys.
