Call to
Order – The Region 9
quarterly HSTP meeting was called to order at 11:08 a.m. by Sherry Hicks. All those in attendance introduced themselves
and announced their agency.
Approval
of December 2021 Meeting Minutes – Motion by Joe Domer, second by Michelle Suwe. Minutes approved.
Regional
Plan – Terri Finn
had graphs available related to the findings from each of the surveys (Agency,
Rider, Community, Provider) which she reviewed with those in attendance. Terri
reported receiving a total of 109 surveys for Region 9.
The
Committee was asked to acknowledge that these gaps and needs reflects what
residents of this region feel needs to be done to improve transportation and it
is each of the transportation providers (5310 & 5311) responsibility to
attempt to make change. Terri will put
together and email a rough draft of gaps and needs.
Transportation
Concerns – Concerns
were shared during the review of the survey findings. Additional Service
Awareness for both riders and agencies, Education Resources to the Community,
and Travel Training & Mobility so folks have a better understanding of
transit options and services were all discussed.
