HSTP: Staff Changes at the South Central Illinois Regional Planning Commission - Dates for next HSTC Meetings:
Good afternoon,
A couple of things to update you on:
Staff Changes at SCIRP&DC
I will be returning to school this fall to pursue a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Illinois. I will continue to work here at SCIRP&DC fulltime through the middle of July. Tentatively, my last full day will be around July 15th. I will also work part time several days in late July and August to help finish the current grant cycle, including attending regional meetings to review applications which will likely be held in late July or early August.
Also, James Patrick has been promoted to Director of Regional Development to fill a vacancy in that office. His last day as Regional HSTP Coordinator was June 15th, 2009, however James will continue to supervise the Regional HSTP coordinators in the future and will remain involved in HSTP activities throughout the 2009 CVP Grant Cycle.
Lindsey Holtz has been hired to fill the one of the vacant HSTP positions. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Studies with a concentration in Community Health, and has worked as a Health Care Unit Staff Assistant and College Instructor for the Illinois Department of Corrections prior to coming to SCIRP&DC. She started on June 16th, and her email address is lindseyh@scirpdc.com.
Elton Trojniar has been hired to fill the other HSTP position. He graduated in May with a Masters Degree in Geography from Western Illinois University with an emphasis in Planning and Geographic Information Science. Prior to coming here he has worked as a GIS Technician and has had an internship as a Planner for the City of Quincy. He will be starting in mid July. Once he starts, his email address will be eltont@sciprdc.com.

August Meeting Dates:
These will be the dates for the August Human Services Transportation Committee Meetings, locations for some meetings are to be determined, and will be announced within the next couple weeks:
Region 9 HSTC – Tuesday August 11th – Probably in the morning (10:30AM). Location TBD
Region 10 HSTC – Wednesday August 12th – 1:00 PM at the Olney Public Library (same location as the meeting last week)
Region 11 HSTC – Wednesday August 5th – 1:00 PM in the Carbondale-Marion area (exact location TBD)
We will be reviewing the submitted Consolidated Vehicle Procurement (CVP) applications at this time. Once we receive the applications we will place them online for you to view prior to the meetings.
