The meeting was called to order at 11:00 at Community Link in Breese.  

The Regional Plan was presented.  Minor revisions were noted, primarily in the Profile of Service Providers area.  The following provider addition\deletions were noted: Bethany Place will be changed to inactive; Macoupin Co. Center for DD data will be added to the Profile section of the plan; Jersey Co. Rehabilitation was added as a new member. Terri & Jaime will make agreed upon changes and disseminate to the HSTP committee as a whole at or before the next scheduled meeting.  Vote to accept the HSTP Region 9 2011\2012 Plan with changes was unanimously approved.

A sub-committee was formed to address Gap 1-Lack of coordination among existing providers.  The sub-committee members are Fran Smith, Michael Spud Egbert, Peggy Dunn or Kent Tarro.  Anyone else interested in serving on the committee should contact Terri or Jaime.

Terri & Jaime discussed the MY TRIP program and the mobility trainings they are willing to do with any agency that requests it.  It could be working with students, Sr.’s or others to do the very basics of contacting a transit provider to schedule a ride to actually getting on the bus and riding with the person.  They also told of their day with the students of FASTT autism center, riding in agencies vehicle and taking the Metrolink.  The video from that adventure will be posted on the blog for everyone to see.  sihstp.blogspot.com 

Sherri Bassen from South Central Transit said they may be interested in something like that to help the customers in the towns of their fixed routes to use those routes instead of requesting only curb-to-curb service to take them directly to their destination.

JARC\New Freedom & Inter-City bus grant applications were discussed.  Anticipated dates are: Project announcement-1\15\12; Grant due to IDOT-4\1\12.  To meet the 4\1\12 deadline, all applications should be submitted to the HSTP Coordinators by 2\22\12.  Full committee review and approval will take place at the next committee meeting scheduled for 3\8\12 @ 11:00am at the Jarvis Township Sr. Center in Troy.
