The applicants: CTF, ARC, CCR, TRADE, RIDES & CILA Corp. presented
applications and fielded questions from the voting members about the requests
for vehicles and the proposed uses.
During his presentation of CILA Corp.’s application, Dayo Adenekan,
Executive Director of CILA Corp., explained that the agency had initially
received a denial of support letter from CIPT but full support letter had
arrived the previous afternoon. The committee
was informed that CILA Corp. had made multiple attempts to contact CIPT
regarding the denial letter & possible ways to coordinate services, never
receiving a response until Jaime had sent an email to CIPT asking for
assistance on the issue.
Rhonda Harris stated, during the application presentation for Clay Co.
Rehab., that a letter of partial support was obtained from CIPT but also
encountered problems with CIPT responding to her multiple phone calls and
emails. Rhonda explained CCR clients
don’t leave work until 3:30 and CIPT’s last pick in Clay Co. is 2:00, so
coordinating services would not be possible at this time. Bill Jung explained to Rhonda that with the
amount of service that CCR provides in Clay Co., the agency could benefit from
becoming a 5311 provider in Clay Co. and encouraged Rhonda to look into
this.
Bill Jung provided information to the attendees about natural gas
vehicles, which saves thousand of dollars in fuel and this form of fuel burns
cleaner which helps the environment.
Voting members handed in their voting forms to the HSTP Coordinators
and everyone in attendance will be notified of the results, by email, on
Thursday morning.
The meeting was adjourned by Arnold Herman at 2:45.
**Meeting Note-All applications were endorsed & applications will
be sent to IDOT\DPIT for the final phase of review.
