The quarterly HSTP Region 9 meeting, held at Challenge Unlimited in Alton, was called to order at 11:04am by Lacey Miller.  Introductions & agency updates were done by all attending.

The meeting minutes from September 8, 2014 were reviewed.  A motion was made by Susan Thomas and 2^nd by Joe Domer to approve the minutes.  Motion carried.

Election of Officers:  Terri Finn had previously emailed a list of potential candidates for officers of the Committee and read this list as those in attendance were acknowledged.  Nominations were taken from the floor.  Committee members nominated a slate consisting of April Blount for Chairperson, Lacey Miller for Co-Chair and Sherry Hicks for Secretary.  Hearing no further nominations, a motion was made by David Riegel and 2^nd by Jill Jones to accept the slate of nominees.  Motion carried. 

General Discussion:

·         Marketing information was provided to Committee and Terri Finn suggested that agencies that have 5310 vehicles use this information to promote transportation services that they may be able to provide.  IDOT recently had their federal triennial review and the lack of marketing was an area that needs improvement.

·         Terri Finn provided the latest CVP updates that she had received from IDOT. 

·         April Blount had questions about how human service agencies are covered by insurance to transport people other than their clients.  She explained that their carrier is not wanting to cover the general public.  It was suggested that she contact different carriers that know and understand transit.  She also wondered if there were any statistics on how many requests for rides human service agencies receive either from public providers or the general public to provide a trip.  Terri Finn will look into this but may be impossible to track.

·         Linda Vidmar told the Committee that her agency has recently done a service contract with Macoupin Co. Public Transportation.

·         Lacy Miller informed the Committee that Il. Valley Economic Development Corp. recently submitted their application to IDOT for funding of the Tri-County Transportation which would include Calhoun, Greene & Jersey counties.

·         The Committee scheduled their quarterly meetings for 2015.  They will be March 12^th and Jill Jones volunteered to host at the Bond Co. Sr. Center.  May 14^th, will be the CVP voting meeting,  September 10^th and December 10^th.

A motion was made by Lacy Miller and 2^nd by Linda Vidmar to adjourn the meeting.  Motion carried and adjourned at 12:05
