Rehab Center serves 165 residents with developmental disabilities and runs
73,000 trips per year. They are
requesting 3 medium duty vehicles to replace 3 older, high mileage
vehicles. Services are coordinated with
CIPT (when possible).
5. Rae Williams (CDC) stated that Career
Development Center provides day training to clients with developmental
disabilities. The agency currently has 1
minivan with over 200,000 miles. Their
transportation needs include taking clients on social\recreational outings,
medical appointments\ER visits. Service

Debra King spoke of coordination efforts
with CIPT. Debra described the Effingham
Co. progress, stating the policies and procedures are now in place. RIDES & CIPT will begin honoring each other’s
fare tickets, and are trying to educate the public of this information. CIPT will have 1 phone number for the
scheduling department that will be a coordinated effort between both
agencies. Senior citizens will have a
number on a passenger ID card. Ridership

going well with the system. Christina

corridor and assist hospitals, case managers, the public & other programs
to access public transportation for patients needing transportation.
