Quarterly Meeting Minutes

The quarterly HSTP meeting was called to order at 11:01 a.m. by Mark Bollmann, at Spero Family Solutions in Mt.Vernon.  Representatives from each agency introduced themselves.

The minutes from the November 2019 meeting were reviewed with no additions or corrections.  Motion made by Sara Nollman-Hodge, 2^nd by Karie Docherty to accept and approve the minutes.  Motion approved.

Guest Speaker: Ken Sharkey, Mary Ann Taylor-Crate, Robert Wilson & Sharon Lewis-SCCTD & ATS

The team from St. Clair Co. Transit District and ATS gave a presentation about the phases of new service and routes they will be launching in June 2020.  An overview of services and routes that will be changing was provided, as well as additional services.  This includes adding a micro transit service called the Flyer.  Riders would be able to schedule rides from their homes to the local MetroLink stations.  Ken also talked about weekend services that are being added.  There will be a MetroLink promotion day that will include a BBQ and trips to Busch stadium for a Cardinals game.  Informational handouts were provided to the committee.

Ken also pointed out that SCCTD will be coordinating service with Monroe-Randolph Transit to bring riders from that service area into Dupo where they can transfer to a bus going into St. Clair Co. areas. 

Talks are ongoing to do similar coordinated service with South Central Transit as well.   

 

Regional Plan:

Gaps\Needs\Strategies- Terri Finn began a group discussion about the gaps and needs that should to be included in the 2021 Regional Plan. 

The committee provided good input and further discussion and planning will be needed to make the necessary updates.
