Call to Order: The quarterly HSTP conference call meeting was called to order at 11:02a.m. by Chairperson Jimmy  Leadingham. Roll call was taken as representatives from each agency announced their presence on the call.

 

Approval of November 2020 Meeting Minutes:  There were no additions or corrections, motion by Sara Hodge, seconded by Mario Fennoy to accept and approve the minutes. Motion carried.

 

Transportation Concerns: There was open discussion on transportation concerns and issues that agencies are experiencing.

*Everyone is struggling with hiring employees and drivers

*Wages and sign on incentives

*Re-opening of senior centers – as of now there are very few re-opening

                *Service contracts and ability to keep up with demand

                *St. Clair Co. Transit Dist. paratransit service, the “Flyer” begins in Belleville tomorrow

 

Regional Plan: IDOT has given permission to the coordinators to begin work on the Plan again.

There will be a new format and Terri Finn is working on the 3 southern Il. regional plans with new outline and other changes that IDOT wants included. The survey portion of the Plan will be much more intensive than first thought and IDOT will be advising how they want this done.   

 

General Discussion: CVP applications available in June (???)

*IDOT will now be keeping original vehicle titles until time of disposition

*Super Medium duty vehicles that are to be awarded from the 2018 CVP application, should be ready in July.

*Handouts and resource materials- funding opportunity info, FTA masks requirements, IDOT “Start Seeing Motorcycles” campaign

 

Next meeting: August 18^th, Kari Docherty with Spero in Mt. Vernon volunteered to host the in-person meeting.  There will also be a call in option.
