The meeting was called to order, at 11:08, by Chairperson Mark Bollmann at the Shawnee Mass Transit office in Vienna. Mark called for introduction of those present and any agency updates. 

 

The minutes from the February 8th meeting were reviewed.  Adam Lach made a motion to approve those minutes, 2nd by James Lane.  Motion carried.

 

Presentation of CVP requests:

Terri Finn provided comment forms for all voting members to ask questions\provide comment on the agency request for vehicles.  She explained that the information members provide will help her in scoring each applications coordination efforts.  The following agencies are applying:

 

Caritas Family Solutions- Requesting 2 minivans for expansion service and accessible vehicles are needed to accommodate CILA residents that are non-ambulatory.

 

Comprehensive Connections-Requesting replacement 2 minivans & 2 light duty vehicles for expansion service.  Accessible vehicles are needed to transport non-ambulatory clients.  Referrals for agency service are increasing plus the area that is being covered is also increasing.

 

Human Service Center-Requesting 1 replacement medium duty vehicles.  The original vehicle is a 2011 with 151,085 miles on it.

 

Human Support Services-Requesting 1 minivan and 2 medium duty replacement vehicles.  One of the MD’s is a 1996 with 123,099 miles, the other a 1998 with 170,729 miles.  The minivan is a 2002 with 107, 539 miles.

 

SAVE-Requesting 2 super medium duty replacement vehicles for a 2003 with 183,093 miles and a 2006 with 159,016 miles.

 

Touchette Hospital-Requesting replacement for 3 minivans.  Minivan #1 is a 2013 with 132,891 miles, #2 is a 2013 with 127,291 miles and #3 is a 2014 with 96,250 miles. 

 

Vintage Support Group-Requesting 2 medium duty vehicles for expansion service.  The agency is currently renting & leasing vehicles to cover the increase in program participants requiring transportation. 

 

Jackson Co. MTD-Requesting 1 super medium vehicle for expansion service due to growth in ridership, service miles & hours and 3 medium duty replacement vehicles, all 2008 with over 200,000 miles.

 

Ride MTD-Requesting 17 medium duty replacement vehicles and 17 super medium replacement vehicles.

 

South Central Transit-Requesting 5 medium duty replacement vehicles and 5 super medium replacement vehicles.

 

St. Clair Co. Transit District-Requesting 15 medium duty replacement vehicles.    

    

General Discussion:

Federal Budget Information-Terri Finn stated that the President’s proposed budget has a 55% reduction in transportation funding.

 

State Budget Information-Bill Grogan, Maureen Mann & Mike Egbert provided information concerning the current state funding situation and bills that have been passed that could benefit transit. 

 

The next HSTP Region 11 meeting will be held at the South Central Transit Training Center in Centralia on August 9th. 

 

Adam Lach made a motion to adjourn.  The motion was seconded by Maureen Mann.
