The meeting was called to order at 11:07 A.M., by Chairman Mark Bollmann, at the South Central Transit Training Center.  Mark called for all present to introduce themselves and give any updates of the agency they represent.

The minutes from the May 24th meeting were reviewed.  Bill Grogan made a motion to approve those minutes.  Debra King seconded the motion.  Motion carried, minutes approved with no additions or corrections.

Review Region 11 Transportation Plan:

Terri Finn provided the committee with the Regional Plan with the updates to this point.  Additionally, she went over the Gaps & Needs section to address progress or lack of.  She requested all providers update their agency’s information in the Provider Inventory section and return it to her as soon as possible.  In the Trip Generators section, Terri asked that members review their county and inform her of any changes that need to be made in that section.

General Discussion:

Terri Finn reported on the CVP delivery of vehicles awarded from 2016 applications.  September through October, 2017 expect delivery of Light Duty, Medium Duty and Mini Vans.  Since the Super Medium Duties are still out for bids, there is no time line set for their delivery.

Agencies were asked if operations will be affected by the upcoming eclipse.

·         Shawnee MTD reported that they will be closed on that day.

·         Rides will be providing trips around the areas that will be hardest hit with tourists to attempt to ease traffic congestion.  Rides has been working with the S. Il. organizations that have been planning for the event for over a year.

·         Human Service Center will be closed to reduce risk of accidents to clients on the road.

·         It was reported that SIU-C and John A Logan have rescheduled move-in & opening days.

·         Dialysis centers in the area are rescheduling appointments for the day.

Further Updates included the release of DTIF Funds and a funding increase in the Meals on Wheels Programs.

Terri Finn mentioned that some committee members have personal events coming up:

·         Bill Grogan & Maureen Mann will be retiring before the next HSTP meeting.

·         Jim Schnipper will be retiring in January 2018.

·         Jamie Diekemper’s baby is due in just a few days.

·         Jesica Gentry will be getting married in September

Everyone was congratulated.

The next HSTP Region 11 meeting will be held on November 8th at Spero Family Services in Mt. Vernon.

Debra King made a motion to adjourn.  Shelia Niederhofer seconded the motion.  Meeting adjourned at 11:55am.
