Call to Order: The quarterly HSTP conference call meeting was called to order at 11:04a.m. by Mark Bollmann. Representatives from each agency announced their presence on the conference call.

 

Approval of November 2020 Meeting Minutes:  No additions or corrections, motion by Jimmy Leadingham, seconded by Charlene Hogan to accept and approve the minutes. Motion carried.

 

Election of New Officers:  Terri Finn asked for volunteers for the positions of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and Secretary. The following volunteered for each position:

                        Secretary                 Sara Nollman-Hodge

 

A motion was made by Mark Bollmann to accept the slate of officers, seconded by Jimmy Leadingham. All aye. Motion carried.

 

Regional Updates: Mark Bollmann announced that 25% of their clients have began to attend workshop and are attending two days a week. 

 

Jeff Drake reported that since statewide meal sites are closed, they have been providing meal delivery. Ridership has been down but is slowly increasing.  RIDES is also providing transportation to COVID vaccine locations.

 

Jimmy Leadingham reported that Shawn Freeman has been hired as the new managing director for Jackson Co. Mass Transit. His first day was February 1st.

 

Ron Gorst of Shawnee MTD reported that ridership has been down but is slowly starting to increase. They too are providing meal delivery in their District.

 

Ken Sharkey and Rob Wilson reported on free rides being offered to seniors to COVID vaccine clinic at the St. Clair County fairgrounds. Riders must have a scheduled appointment time for the vaccine in order to receive a free ride.  They are presently taking 3-4 clients per day.  Ken also reported on a new route implemented through the Transit Vision 2020 that will use ATS for demand service.

 

Several transit agencies shared their COVID-related policies and efforts to maintain safety during the pandemic. They include: mask-wearing by employees and passengers, temperature taking of employees, sanitizing of busses and offices.

 

General Discussion:  Terri Finn reported that the CVP application that was to be released in March has been pushed to April. She reminded the 5310 agencies that they are now required to be registered in GATA to qualify for applying for vehicles.  Zoe Keller at IDOT may be contacted for questions and/or issues.

 

Terri Finn reminded participants that she included resource information in her email that included TSA signage, the Executive Order regarding face masks, information regarding the COVID vaccine and transportation for the COVID vaccine and the SCCTD Emerson Park project.
