Call to Order – The Region 9 quarterly HSTP meeting was called to order at 11:03 a.m. by Sherry Hicks via conference call.  Agency Representatives were announced upon joining the call.

Approval of September 2021 Meeting Minutes – Motion by Wendy Settles, second by Michelle Suwe. Minutes approved.

Regional Plan – Eric Robke commented that from a Day Program provider standpoint he feels that if independent transportation isn’t available that prior to the interview process agencies could reach out to the local transportation providers for a current list of routes already available and then move forward with job placement from there.

Terri Finn asked agencies to please email your agencies contacts to her if they have not already done so.  This would be contacts that your agency works with.

South Central Transit inquired about sharing the Rider Survey on social media. Terri Finn replied that since there are 4 different surveys it may be confusing for the user to determine which survey to complete. Terri asked for any ideas from the group regarding how to get the surveys out to the community.

Transportation Concerns – Mariam Bell, Grant Program Coordinator spoke to the group about the Agency for Community Transit grant. This is a two million dollar grant dedicated specifically for cities, villages and towns or 501C3’s within Madison County. Applications are currently available with the launch in 2022. Contact information for Mariam Bell; email: actgrants@mct.org or phone 618-797-4600 x2251.  Additional information is also available at www.actinfo.org.
