The quarterly HSTP meeting was called to order at 11:02 A.M., by Chairman David Riegel, at the Fayette Co. Health Department in Vandalia.  David called for all present to introduce themselves and give any updates of the agency they represent. 

 

The minutes from the May 11th meeting were reviewed.  Jennifer Moore made a motion to approve those minutes.  Lacey Miller seconded the motion.  Motion carried, minutes approved with no additions or corrections.

 

Review Region 9 Transportation Plan:

·         Terri Finn went over each Gap & Need listed in the Plan and asked for final input.

·         3 last providers need to submit their agency information to Terri to finalize the Provider Inventory & duplication chart

 

General Discussion:

·         Jill Jones announced that Steve Hoxsey is Bond Co. Transit’s new maintenance supervisor.  His email is: steve.hoxsey@bondcountytransit.org.  BCT has also hired 4 new drivers.

·         Jennifer Moore & Nathan Nichols announced that they will now be switching 2 of their counties (Moultrie & Fayette).  Also, CIPT has more full time drivers covering Montgomery Co.

·         Sheila Niederhofer announced that SCT now has a contract with the Community Resource Center (CRC) and will run trips from Vandalia\Centralia.

·         Peggy Dunn & Lacey Miller announced that their agencies are coordinating service to run routes to\from Lewis & Clark College.

·         Terri Finn announced that Touchette Regional Hospital in Centreville will be holding a RTAC drivers training on October 28th.  Contact James Lane at Touchette if you are interested.

·         The annual Il. Public Transportation Association (IPTA) fall conference will be held on September 18-20.

·         It was announced that Ed Heflin has retired from RTAC.  A new Director should be announced in October.

·         Terri Finn updated the Committee on the 1st Aid kit topic which had been brought up a few meetings back.  Terri contacted Mike Healy (IDOT) who in turn contacted personnel at Midwest Transit that stated 1st Aid kits are not required in commercial buses or vans thus the agency should not have been dinged in an inspection for incorrect supplies in a kit.

·         Joe Domer announced that Madison Co. Transit has a new facility at the high speed rail connection spot in Alton.  Public meetings are scheduled for next week to discuss service cuts and better efficiency to other spots.

·         It was also announced the OIG Rule 50 mandatory trainings are now every year instead of every 2 years. 

·         Terri Finn reported that CVP vehicles are scheduled for delivery in Fall-minivans and Spring-LD & MD’s

·         Next meeting: Scheduled for December 14th at Senior Services Plus in Alton

 

Jennifer Moore made a motion to adjourn.  Beth Hake seconded the motion.  Meeting adjourned at 11:40am.
